Sounds like a Capital One commercial, but it's an honest question. Is your marriage filled with love, joy, and peace in the Holy Ghost? Do you laugh together? Is it filled with romance and eroticism?
Or, do you live in a war zone? From one argument to the next? Or have you even spoken to each other in a while? Do you live together, but have a girlfriend on the side?
Teresa and I have a wonderful marriage, but it's not by accident. We say it all the time, "We've got what everybody wishes they had." When I moved to Arkansas in 2011, I made no apologies in saying, "I'm here to build a marriage.” Why say build? Cause it's work! But if you build it by God's blueprint, The Bible, it's Heaven on Earth.
Step 1. Individually you must commit before God to submit to His plan for marriage. The miracle of marriage is two become one, so if you don't agree with the same plan, your only fighting against yourself. Let that soak in, it's not you and her anymore, you are one. She's not the enemy. He's not the enemy, so...
Step 2. Aim your guns at the devil, cause now it's US, you and me together, against the world. With this adjustment, plan to win every time.
John 10:10 -- The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.
He that hath ears to hear let him hear.
