Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Notice it doesn't say, "with the footsteps are made unto salvation." In this teaching, I simply want to point out the importance of our words. Let Jesus be the example of how to use our words with authority and purpose.
Matt. 8:24-27 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but He (Jesus) was asleep.
And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
Matt 8:7-8 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
Psalm 116:10 I believed, therefore have I spoken:
John 2:5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do (it).
Psalm 103:5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good (things; so that) thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Mark 11:22-24 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Notice here that thoughts can be swirling in your head. They may have been put there by well meaning people or just the devil himself, but you don't have to take it!! "Take no thought SAYING."
My message today is that your words are important. Words can heal, words can kill. Guard your words.. Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
He that hath ears to hear let him hear.
