I've said this many times, the Bible is written in progressive revelation. It falls upon us to read and obey, 2 Timothy 2:15. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Generally speaking for example: Moses knew more than Job; Matthew knew more than Moses, Peter, and James; John saw things the other nine didn't see; and Jesus knew more than all of them combined.
As we seek God in His Word, new revelation will come. You begin to see things you hadn't seen before, some things perhaps your denomination doesn't preach. Don't let fear of the unknown stop you from exploring God's Word. Remember, God doesn't want you to be ignorant of spiritual things. He has promised to bless those who hunger.
Matthew 5:6 Blessed [are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. You will find the great commission includes Mark 16:15-20 and is supported by I Corinthians chapters 12 and 14.
As your knowledge increases so can your level of faith... From, 'with God, all things are possible' to, Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth. Notice the first verse of I Corinthians 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts.
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
