You can find the phrase 'in the way', 'by the way', 'go thy way', 'went their way', and many similar to these in the Bible. Directions mainly, sometimes they're used as street names such as verse 46 describing the main highway out of Jericho.
I think what the Holy Spirit is pointing out to me in these phrases is, on the roadmap of our life, 'The way' that matters most is 'Thy Way'... This man sitting by the highway had an encounter with 'The Master of the Intersection'! When you hear Jesus, the anointed one, is coming your way it's time to get ready to receive... He had heard Jesus was anointed, or empowered with miracle working power that would bring sight to the blind. He began to call out to the master with a faith that wouldn't be denied and he received his miracle. Friend, what road are you on today?
Are you like the old Fleetwood Mac song, 'go your own way?', or have you been detoured by the devil to miss Jesus ? Jesus is The Way! You don't have to be lost without direction in your life anymore, just call out to Jesus. He has a destiny for your life. A map called the Bible will guide you each step of the way.
He that hath ears to hear let him hear...
