Thanksgiving thanks

Posted Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at 10:29 AM

Times are bad, but all around are reasons to give thanks.

If there is peace in your heart, give thanks.

If your home is warm this winter, give thanks.

If you have Thanksgiving ham or turkey, give thanks.

If your health is good, give thanks.

If you have a best friend who shares your good times and bad, give thanks.

If you have a comfortable mattress to sleep on, give thanks.

If you have good memories, be thankful..

If you have family to share a meal with, give thanks.

If your home is Home Sweet Home, give thanks.

If your car is running well, give thanks.

If the sun shines on you, be thankful.

If you had a bountiful harvest, give thanks.

If you live in a safe community, give thanks.

If you are a cancer survivor, give thanks.

If you have a loving spouse, give thanks

If you have a good parent, give thanks.

If you have loving children, give thanks.

If they call you blessed, give thanks.

If you have many friends, give thanks.

If you have a good church home, give thanks.

If you had another birthday, be thankful.

If your newborn is strong and healthy, give thanks.

If you have shelter from the cold, give thanks

If your mammogram was negative, give thanks.

If you have health insurance, be glad.

If your finances are in order, be thankful.

If you live in the land of the free, give thanks.

Poet Rudyard Kipling, author of the poem If, wrote:

If you can keep your head when all about you

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

But make allowance for their doubting too.

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting.

Those are blessings too.
