Moving right along

Posted Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at 4:55 PM

Time is moving right along and the Fourth of July 2010 is now behind us. I hope everyone had a good Fourth of July. I spent the day on Saturday in Caraway for their 64th annual picnic. I even won a prize from the bandstand. It was fun and I know it takes a lot of work but it was very nice. Sixty-four years is a long time. I thank the Caraway Lions Club and all of the others who make it happen every year.

I even enjoyed the rain at the end of the rodeo. We got soaked but I really didn't mind. The fireworks went off and I was surprised to find no rain when I got to my home in Manila.

Leachville also had an impressive fireworks display on Sunday night. I attended the fireworks in the park and the Cave Dwellers did a very good job. There was a large crowd at the park. I think it was their fourth year to put on the fireworks dispay. The fireworks are provided through donations from businesses and individuals.

I want to thank everyone who answered my last poll question and left some very good comments. I like to hear what others think about topics. We all have an opinion and it is good to share.
