Counting the daysPosted Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 4:21 PM
It is hard to remember being a teenager but I am sure all of the young men and women in the area are counting the days until graduation.
It is a happy and sad time all mixed up together for parents. We really do want our children to grow up but it is hard to turn loose and let it happen. Proms, plays, awards day, graduation practice, end of course tests, and many more activities make for a very busy last weeks of high school. Our young people will be going out into the work force, colleges and universities, and military. They will be starting their own lives. It is an exciting time for them and I guess it is okay if we let them think (at least for a few weeks) they will not have to answer to parents, teachers, or anyone ever again now that they are all grown up. I want to say congratulations to all of the graduates. I hope all of their dreams come true. |
