Christmas nearingPosted Monday, November 30, 2009, at 2:45 PM
Thanksgiving 2009 is now a memory and Christmas is just around the corner. Hopefully, we all survived too much turkey on Thanksgiving and too much shopping on the rest of the weekend.
We will soon, very soon, be attending Christmas parties, family gatherings, church productions, cantatas, parades, Christmas choir and band concerts, holiday ball tournaments, shopping sales, and more. The list gets long this time of year but if we take it all in stride it is a wonderful season. It is not easy but we need to try and not get stressed out. Do the things we have to and don't worry about the rest.
I think part of the problem today is time passes too fast. I can remember when it seemed Christmas morning would never arrive. Now it seems Christmas mornings come back to back.
As we go into the busy season let's not forget to be thankful for what we have and not be so stressed over the things we don't have.
Just in case I get too busy over the next few weeks, I want to take this time and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
