Congratulations seniors

Posted Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at 2:04 PM

High School graduation is over in this area and we have a lot of young men and women to be proud of for their hard work and efforts in finishing high school.

I hate to admit it but high school seems much more difficult than when I was there. They have to have more credits and there is more to learn.

I wish everyone well in their future plans. Some will go to college, some will go to technical schools, some will enter the workforce and others may choose the military.

As I worked through the graduation edition of the Town Crier I knew I was looking at our future doctors, nurses, teachers, lawyers, construction workers and soldiers.

I think they have a lot more on their plates than we did when we started our walk into adulthood but they may not realize it yet. I don't remember giving much thought to the economy when I was 17 years old.

Congratulations to each and every one of you. Set your goals and work toward them.

Hope everyone has a great summer.
