Ready for spring

Posted Thursday, March 5, 2009, at 3:57 PM

Everyone I have talked to is ready for spring. I am looking forward to the warmer weather and longer days. Spring seems to make everything a little better.

We had the ice, then we had the snow, and I think we all deserve a little springtime.

Hopefully, it will put us all in a better mood and we will see more friendly smiles as we go out and about.

The clean-up is underway in all of our towns and I think when we get all of the debris out of our yards, we will feel much better.

Hopefully, all of the school children and teachers will get to enjoy a few days of Spring Break and the weather cooperates.

Through the years we have taken a few trips with our grandchildren during spring break but we don't have one planned this year.

Spring officially begins this year on March 20. I hope we can put away our coats and enjoy a little time outside before the mosquito season.

Again I want to thank everyone who took time to answer this month's poll. 51 voters were optimistic that times will get better in 2009; 78 voters think it will get worse before it gets better and nine voters expects things to stay the same with no changes. We'll just have to wait and see.

Hi! I'm excited to finally find this website as I've moved so far away from my family and friends. I am also looking forward to Spring. We are having our 30 year class reunion in May and I'm thrilled to be comming home, seeing old friends and hashing out old memories. I hope we have beautiful weather for the event. The class of 79 will be meeting at the park for a picnic on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 11:00am and at the Country Club at 6 that evening!
